Why Combine Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti?
These destinations offer different safari environments, which is one of the strengths of this itinerary.
Tarangire gives you a different landscape from the Serengeti, with large elephant populations, baobabs and the Tarangire River playing an important role in the park’s wildlife environment.
Ngorongoro adds something different again. The crater is a volcanic caldera within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and supports a wide range of wildlife.
Then you spend three nights in the Serengeti, where the emphasis is on having enough time to explore rather than simply passing through.
The result is a safari with variety at the beginning and more time in one destination toward the end.

7 Days Tanzania Private Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania
Arrive in Tanzania and meet your Tanzania Miracle Adventures representative.
There is no need to rush into activities on arrival day. After an international flight, the priority is getting settled and ready for the safari ahead.
Overnight: Arusha
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, leave Arusha and travel towards Tarangire National Park, one of the major safari destinations in northern Tanzania.
The park is particularly known for its elephants, large baobab trees and the Tarangire River, which plays an important role for wildlife, particularly during drier periods.
Spend the day on a game drive with your driver guide, looking for wildlife and experiencing the changing landscapes of the park.
Overnight: Karatu Town
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive and Continue to Serengeti
Today you descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive.
The crater provides a very different safari environment from Tarangire and the Serengeti. Its enclosed landscape supports a high concentration of wildlife, making it one of the most distinctive places to visit in northern Tanzania.
After your crater experience, continue towards Serengeti National Park.
As you leave the Ngorongoro highlands and approach the Serengeti, the landscape gradually changes into the wide endless open plains hence the name Serengeti ( Meaning ‘Endless plains’ in the language of the Maasai, the residents of this area).
Overnight: Serengeti
Day 4: Full Day in the Serengeti
Today is dedicated entirely to the Serengeti.
With no need to transfer to another destination, you have more time to explore the park with your guide and respond to what you find along the way.
Your guide will consider the season, recent wildlife activity, weather and the conditions on the ground when planning the day’s game drives.
You may encounter lions, elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas, hippos and many other species, although wildlife sightings can never be guaranteed.
Overnight: Serengeti
Day 5: Another Full Day in the Serengeti
Your second full day gives you more time to experience the Serengeti without rushing.
This is particularly valuable on safari because wildlife does not follow a timetable. Sometimes an interesting sighting may last only a few minutes. At other times, you may want to stay in one place and simply observe what is happening around you.
Having another full day also allows your guide to explore different areas rather than trying to cover too much ground in a single day.
Overnight: Serengeti
Day 6: Serengeti → Arusha
After breakfast, begin your journey back towards Arusha.
This is primarily a transfer day, although there may be opportunities for wildlife viewing during the early part of the journey depending on your departure time.
The journey takes you out of the Serengeti and through the changing landscapes of Northern Tanzania before continuing towards Arusha.
Arrive in Arusha and check into your accommodation.
Overnight: Arusha
Day 7: Departure
Depending on your departure time, you may enjoy your final morning Arusha town to explore to city or simply shop for souvenirs.
Our driver will be ready for your transfer to the airport according to your flight schedule.
